The coffee and coffee bean-related experiences have always been recorded using Notion, but most of the time it exists as a "purchase record," with the accounting function being more important than the drinking experience and evaluation significance. The data is also not always complete. There are many empty contents, including components that are neglected to be recorded or not filled in a timely manner, but more so it is a self-consistency after getting rid of the reliance on data and techniques.
Baking or brewing, it's more about trusting your own intuition. Intuition is not a product of imagination, but rather the accumulation of experience. When the beans turn from green to yellow, it means the water is almost drained, the weight becomes lighter, and the volume expands, indicating that it's ready to be heated. Increase the rotation speed a bit more, and after the heat is evenly distributed, there will be a complete explosion, and some silver skin can also be removed.
The amount of beans roasted at once is also important. Previously, I always started with 200g, and the minimum duration for the first explosion was 15 minutes. The result was usually uneven heating, and the color and flavor of the beans roasted after the first explosion would become darker. Controlling the amount of beans to be roasted each time to no more than 150g will greatly increase the tolerance rate. Properly roasting until the first explosion will result in a flavor that is normal for the first explosion.
